College Softball Programs & Camp Directory

Focus on camps at schools you're genuinely interested in attending — college-specific camps give you the best chance to be seen by that program's coaching staff.

Most athletes start attending college softball camps in 8th or 9th grade. Focus on skill development camps early, then shift to prospect and ID camps in 9th-10th grade when coaches can start evaluating you. By junior year, attend camps only at schools where you have genuine interest and have already made contact with the coaching staff.

A prospect camp is hosted by a single college program on their campus — you work directly with that school's coaches. An ID camp (identification camp) is typically larger, with coaches from multiple programs evaluating athletes. Prospect camps are better if you already have target schools. ID camps are better for broad exposure early in the recruiting process.

Since 2025-26, NCAA Division I programs that opted into the House settlement can offer athletic aid across a roster capped at 25 players (the old limit was 12 scholarships). Division II programs have 7.2 scholarship equivalencies (often split among more players). Division III schools cannot offer athletic scholarships but provide strong academic aid. NAIA programs can offer up to 10 equivalencies. The actual number offered varies by program and budget.
